I can't help you with editing, but here is the basic layout of a .256 texture map file... 352 bytes of header? 2048 bytes of palette (converters at my site below) 256 bytes of header? 65536 bytes of shadow map? 128*number of sub maps 131176 bytes of texture/shadow map interleaved The number of sub-maps can be found 96 bytes into the .256 map. -Pooka The Pook's Myth Editing
