In Reply to: My Hex Edited Single Player maps posted by Intras on April 11, 1998 at 15:47:07: : Yesterday I started to hex edit some single player maps : (with the help of the Hex Guide at the Gates of Covenant) : that utilizies more hero units. I was wondering- is there : anyone who knows how to edit the effects of weapons (i.e. : like archers shooting arrows that have a wight explosion : on impact). Thanks for any time you have. 1. Get Myth Inspector 2. Use it on tags.gor 3. Scroll down until you see a bunch of "proj" codes 4. Get the 4-digit code for a special projectile. (paralyzing arrows = fi#1 ; killing arrows = fi#2 ; lightning arrows = fial ; incendiary arrows = fiai ; etc, etc 5. Make a unit plug-in (follow the link from Sons of Myrgard to Tycho's guide if you dont know how) 6. Replace the code for the unit's regular attack with the new code. (ex: if its an archer hero, change "or#1" (i think thats it) to "fial") 7. Use ResEdit to change the type of your plug in to MONS and the creator to MYTH 8. Make a Mons folder in your local folder 9. Name your file the code for the unit. (ex: if its an archer hero, name the file "fihe" 10. Put the file into the mons folder 11. Play! In these examples, all your archer heros will shoot lightning arrows You can also make archers shoot Rhi'Bombs (rhbo) and other fun stuff hope this helps -Ares
